Retrofit services for landlords

We assess, plan, fund and install, then hand back a compliant home

One team from the first survey to the final EPC. Fixed prices from our own price book, the grants applied for on your behalf, accredited installation and insurance-backed warranties. No letting-agent mark-up, because we are the installer.

The measures that move the rating

Every property is different, but the route to band C almost always runs in the same order: get the fabric right first, then heating and controls, then generation. We only recommend what actually moves your rating towards C under the new fabric-first standard, in the order that gives you the most points per pound.

Fabric first

Loft insulation and top-ups, cavity wall insulation, room-in-roof and flat-roof insulation, underfloor insulation, draught-proofing and, for solid-wall houses, internal or external wall insulation. Fabric is the compulsory first leg of the 2030 standard and the work that most reduces your tenant's bills, so it comes first on almost every plan.

Heating and controls

Modern heating controls, thermostatic radiator valves, hot-water cylinder insulation, and where it suits the property, an air source heat pump designed and installed to MCS standards with the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant applied for. We never force a heat pump: the rules do not require one, and for many rented homes the cheaper route to compliance is fabric plus smart-readiness measures.

Solar, batteries and smart readiness

Solar PV and battery storage, both MCS-certified, plus the smart meter and controls that count towards the smart-readiness metric. On the reformed EPC these are often what tips a well-insulated home over the line, and they cut the running costs your tenant sees.

Grants handled, not just mentioned

We check every property against the Warm Homes: Local Grant, the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, the Warm Homes Loan and, while it lasts, ECO4, and we prepare the applications, including the Good Landlord Charter registration the Greater Manchester grant requires. Grant money counts towards your £10,000 cost cap, so a funded property can reach the standard with little or none of your own money. The grants page sets out who qualifies for what.

Accredited installation and warranties

All works are coordinated to PAS 2035 and installed by our accredited partner installer, LAMTANS Engineering Ltd, to PAS 2030 and MCS standards, and lodged with TrustMark. That gives you insurance-backed guarantees on insulation, MCS certificates for solar, batteries and heat pumps, and a documented job that satisfies the council, the PRS database and any future buyer or lender.

LAMTANS Engineering holds TrustMark (3117724), RECC (00080479), MCS, PAS 2030 and PAS 2035, Gas Safe, Ofgem, Green Deal, Elmhurst Energy, Installation Assurance Authority and FCA registrations, and is ICO registered (ZB750530). Compliant Lets arranges and manages the work; LAMTANS Engineering carries the accreditations and delivers it on the ground.

What you get at the end

A post-works EPC lodged on the register, a full evidence pack of certificates, invoices and lodgements, and warranties for each measure. If we reach band C on a current-format EPC before 1 October 2029, that certificate protects the property for its full ten years.

Start with the free assessment. One visit gives you a fresh EPC, the gap to C, a fixed-price plan and a grant check, with no obligation to use us for the works. Book it here.
