Windows and doors

Old, draughty windows and insecure doors cost points on the EPC and comfort for the tenant. We fit A-rated glazing and secure external doors that make a rented home warmer, quieter and safer.

What it is

Replacement double or triple-glazed windows and secure, insulated external doors, in uPVC or timber-effect finishes, with trickle vents where ventilation requires them — from a single failed unit to a full house.

Why it matters for 2030

Windows and doors affect the EPC through their U-values and draughts, and new A-rated glazing adds points while cutting the tenant's bills. They also improve security and noise, which help lettability, and must be detailed correctly alongside any wall insulation.

Which properties suit it

Rentals with single glazing, blown or failed double-glazed units, rotten frames or draughty, insecure doors — and homes having external or internal wall insulation, where the reveals and cills are best re-detailed at the same time.

What's included

Survey, supply and fit of windows and external doors, trickle ventilation, making good the reveals, and the FENSA or Building Regulations certificates for your compliance file.

How we do it

Priced from our own book, fitted in the void or around the tenant, and coordinated with any wall insulation so the junctions and ventilation are right.

Common questions

Do new windows improve the EPC?

Yes — replacing single glazing or failed units with A-rated glazing adds points, though it is a higher-cost route than insulation.

Double or triple glazing?

Double is the usual best-value choice; triple suits noisy or very exposed properties.

Do you fit external doors too?

Yes, secure insulated front and back doors, which also help the rating and security.

Do the windows come certified?

Yes, with FENSA or Building Regulations certificates for your records.
