Park home insulation
Residential park homes are among the hardest homes in the region to keep warm. A proper external wrap, with floor and roof insulation, transforms them — and it is one of the few measures that is often fully grant-funded.
What it is
A purpose-designed insulation system for park homes and residential mobile homes: insulated cladding panels or an external wall insulation wrap fixed to the outside of the chassis-built walls, insulation to the underside of the floor, and insulation to the roof void or a new insulated over-roof. Because park homes are built to a lighter standard than bricks and mortar, the system is designed for the structure rather than adapted from a house product.
Why it matters
Park homes are exempt from the EPC regime, so the 2030 rule does not apply to them directly. What does apply is the cost of heating a thin-walled home through a Manchester winter, the condensation and mould that cold walls cause, and the responsibility of a landlord or site owner for a warm, dry home. Insulating a park home typically cuts heating bills by a third or more and ends the damp complaints that drive tenants away.
Which homes suit it
Any permanently sited residential park home or mobile home on a licensed site in Greater Manchester, whether occupied by the owner or let to a tenant. Homes built before about 2005 gain the most. We survey the chassis, the wall and floor condition and the services before recommending the system, and we will tell you if a home is not structurally suitable.
Grants that apply
Park home insulation is a named measure under ECO4 while it runs (to 31 December 2026), and eligible residents can qualify under the Warm Homes: Local Grant. For a qualifying household the work is often fully funded, and the insulation is zero-rated for VAT until 31 March 2027. Eligibility depends on the occupant, not the site, so we check each home individually — start on the grants page.

Work is done from outside and underneath, so the home stays occupied throughout. You get a fixed price for any element that is not grant-funded, from our own price book.
Common questions
Does a park home need an EPC?
No. Park homes are outside the EPC regime, so there is no 2030 compliance deadline. The reasons to insulate are comfort, bills, damp and, for many residents, full grant funding.
Do I need the site owner's permission?
Usually yes for external changes. We supply drawings and a specification for the site owner, and most approve because the work improves the site.
