Your cost-cap position
What you have already spent since 1 October 2025 counts towards the £10,000 cap. We record it, so you know your headroom and whether an exemption applies.
A timeline that beats the deadline
Works and a new EPC scheduled to land before 1 October 2029, so a band C certificate counts for its full ten-year life.

Is it really free?
Yes, when you go ahead with any of the recommended work. If you decide not to, we charge £120 for the assessment and the lodged EPC, and we credit that back in full if you proceed with works within twelve months. Either way you keep the report.

The written assessment arrives by email as a PDF. We then call to walk you through it and answer questions.
